In this pages, I would like to how volunteering great it really is. For the first point, I would like to go over the highlighted activities.
ZIARAH/ WELFARE
We will visit our designated foster families’
home every day for 7 days from time to time with the objectives of strengthening
the relationship between volunteers and local villagers. During the visit we must share our knowledge about Islam and assist the misunderstanding or lack of understanding
towards Islamic practices.
This experience has given me the variety that I enjoy to
know them very well and know their own language that they used in daily day
which is “Temiang” or “Semai”. I have opportunity to learn their language.
MASS FARDHU AIN
The programme highlighted a workshop and mass lecture to
support the villagers’ knowledge on Fardh’ Ain. The two- way communication
session both formal and informal between volunteers and villagers take
place throughout the period of the programme.
HYGIENE
Hygiene is one of the important factor aspects indefinitely and
bringing this awareness to all level of ages is important to live a healthy and
ideal environment as prior outreach has found poor awareness and knowledge on
self- hygiene. Among the initiatives includes assisting children how to brush
their teeth, cut their nails, wash their hands and legs while sustaining
cleaner living environment.
IQRA’/ SKILLS CLASSES
The initiatives include teaching the youngster, senior
villagers and few adults on how to read, as well as to recite Al- Quran
starting from the beginner phase. Other than that, some would be served with
simple contemporary practical skill such as sewing, cooking, baking and other
related skills that shall add a lifetime value to the villagers.
